Attention All California Units and Volunteers

Mandated Reporter Training is Now Due

Please make sure your adult volunteers have taken the training.

We're getting closer to being able to have all the information and documents we need to do the LiveScan (fingerprinting) service.  Soon you will be able to travel to a nearby California LiveScan Service Center near you.


Your District Executive will keep you posted. Please take the time now to ensure that your adult volunteers have taken the necessary training required by California law.

This will be required in addition to Scouting's Youth Protection Training (YPT) as it has Scouting-specific information.

Dare To Rebuild

The Nevada Area Council will be working with Plumas County Environmental Health to determine the next steps needed to get started on removing dangerous materials from Camp Fleischmann. This is not a simple process, it is very detailed which includes soil sampling as well as removing debris from camp.  Until this crucial first step is completed any action at camp in terms of rebuilding is on hold.  If you are interested in serving on a committee related to the rebuilding, please click on the Rebuild link below.
