Camp Fleischmann--COVID-19

Summer 2020 didn't look like all the summers that have come before or any of the other summers that will come after. What we do know is that camp plays a vital role in the lives of our Scouts and Scouters. At this time, we are taking steps to determine how we can best serve our Scouting community for summer 2021, following national, state and local guidelines for the ongoing COVID-19 changes.

Because Camp Fleischmann 2020 was not able to operate this summer as normal, so we held CF2U, a week long virtual camp that Scouts could participate in.  Scouts, Scouters and families participated in morning Polar Bear Yoga, flag ceremonies, 15 live Merit Badge classes for Scouts, demonstrations, Scoutmaster trainings, theme days, OA social, Pow Wow, service projects, evening activities and campfires. More than 160 Scouts and Scouters participated from 19 states across the US. We brought camp to you!

We are currently considering opportunities to serve our Scouting community in ways we have not previously considered. We will anxiously await a vibrant experience at Camp Fleischmann in 2021, when our Camp Fleischmann family will welcome everyone with open arms to experience all of the adventures Camp Fleischmann has to offer!

For the most current information on camping and COVID-19 guidelines, see the Home or Resources and Forms pages.

Merit Badge Schedules

Merit badge sessions are organized in a block schedule. This means Scouts sign up for a half day, full day or one and one half day merit badges. Pick one merit badge session per day and then add additional sessions if your schedule allows it.

Scouts will be in sessions between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. in the morning, then from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon.

When looking at the schedule, it is easiest to look at one day of the week and choose a Merit Badge session, then move to the next day and choose a session, and so on. On the schedule, an “X” represents a full day. If the “X” is followed by an am or pm, then it is considered a half day. It is possible for Scouts to participate in 5-7 Merit Badges sessions with the right combination of half-day and full day Merit Badges.

* Merit Badge Schedules are subject to change. Please verify the sessions you’ve signed up for upon arrival at Camp Fleischmann.

** Please note Merit Badge sessions will not be available Friday afternoon due to Camp wide games and the Seneca Run.
