MERIT BADGE PROGRAM

MERIT BADGE PROGRAM AT CAMP FLEISCHMANN

Scouts and Scouters! Camp Fleischmann uses a block schedule for Merit Badges. This means that Scouts sign up for a half day, full day, or one and one-half day merit badges. Scouts will be in sessions between 9:00am and 12:00pm in the morning, then from 1:30pm to 3:00pm in the afternoon. From 3:00pm to 5:00pm, open time is available to continue working on merit badges, as well as traditional Fleischmann competitions!

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

When looking at the schedule, it is easiest to look at one day of the week and choose a Merit Badge session, then move to the next day and choose a session, and so on. On the schedule, an “X” represents a full day. If the “X” is followed by an am or pm, then it is considered a half day. It is possible for Scouts to participate in 5-7 Merit Badges sessions with the right combination of half-day and full day Merit Badges!

SIGNING UP

Sign-ups are done online through Doubleknot and registration will open on May 15. This allows fees to be prepaid before camp. Sign-ups will allow sessions to be evenly filled so everyone can get the sessions they want. There will be no Merit Badge sessions on Friday afternoon since Camp-Wide Games and the Seneca Run takes place. Area directors reserve the right to use Friday afternoon for MB completion as well.  Your Troop's user name and password instructions were sent to the person who registered your Troop for Camp Fleischmann in an email from Doubleknot, down below the receipt, in the "To modify the registration/payment" area.  Merit Badge Class sign up close 1 week before your scheduled week to attend camp on Sunday night.

Use the schedules below to help your Scouts have a great week at camp.
